Lord, I want to be
more free in your presence!

Lord, I want to be more free in your presence!
This is my prayer. How do you start your day?

We're all up against a brick wall, and most of us have been to the bottom of the darkest hole before. All those who came up, or so many years ago, all they still talk about is that moment in that hole. Not to be insentive, but how do you really reassure someone right this minute, right here, right now, and at this particular time that they are hungry? Money will do it! So, I recognize that telling you how hard it was for me won't solve your problems in a single day, especially because I'm about to embark on the most exciting adventure of my life following my speech (figure of speech). Every story serves a certain role, and each load is distinct. What do you want to hear if the message of hope is difficult to receive today? Who can genuinely guarantee that everything will go smoothly? I understand that you want to bring joy to people. If you could, you'd want to cheer for everyone. But when the following day comes, you're scratching your head, trying to figure out a strategy, and you're stressed to the point that your soul aches. What keeps you going? That's the real question. How can you disconnect from social media and focus on yourself? How can you summon the courage to say, "OK, I got this," when no one else is there to assist you?

It takes courage to seek help, but sometimes the only help you need is prayer. For Christians, we know what the word says: "Am I committing my work and efforts to God?" As a result, "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Matthew 6:25 When you feel like you're going through fire, what scripture comes to mind? When you weep, how long do you let yourself cry before getting back up? Your soul hurts to the point of desiring the end of it all. I'm too familiar with all of this, and I'm ready to move on to the next chapter, hoping that it will be better than the previous one. Life does not appear to be fair all of the time, and it isn't, but it is supposed to be lived and withstand challenges. Name one individual, rich or poor, who has never experienced a problem, no matter how little. Because you can't see the impact of sadness on someone's soul, you can't assess hurdles.

When you wake up, it's as if you've arrived from another world, yet you're immediately immersed in your suit of reality. How did you get out of bed? Either your alarm went off or your children's shouts woke you up. How did you respond at first? Allow your spirit to find peace by sitting still and breathing. No, money isn't going to fall from the sky, and I'm fully aware that hurdles don't disappear on their own, and no one is going to hand you anything unless it's your fortunate day. But while in the midst of trouble, challenge yourself to wake up filled with optimism. "Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved." Psalm 55:22

The more positive you attempt to be, the more you'll be challenged, which is OK; nonetheless, you must do everything you can to protect your soul from the notions that your mind generates. To be honest, there is a lesson to be learned here about development and endurance, rather than falling into the temptation of whining. You're still deserving; the blood is still flowing. The importance of the lesson cannot be overstated. Where do you place your trust when everything is falling apart? Although Job questioned God, Job did not give in; he remained in God's presence. On what ground are you standing? Are you still trying to be in control because of the outcomes? The world is a massive weapon that is being formed against you daily. Do not allow rules and obligations to set the tone for your walk with Christ and confirm your position. Arm yourself with the word to retain light in you before taking up the phone or answering it, before going to that meeting and after leaving it.

Here are a few affirmation verses to help you prepare your soul and spirit for the day ahead:

#1 "This is the day that the Lord has made; rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24

#2 "Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago." Isaiah 25:1

#4 "O Lord, since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name, lead and guide me." Psalm 31:3
